AIEMnet is proud to be hosting the “Wide Bay Engineering and Manufacturing Industry Skills Formation Strategy” project. The Wide Bay Engineering and Manufacturing Industry Skills Formation Strategy is one of many industry specific strategies operating in Queensland. The Skills Formation Strategy (SFS) is an initiative funded by Skills Queensland, they provide a process for industry, community and government stakeholders to collaboratively analyse their workforce issues and develop strategies and engagement methods that allow industries and communities to identify and address issues as they arise. The skills formation strategies focus on identifying issues common to an industry or community that are best addressed by their combined efforts or that cannot be addressed as an individual enterprise.
Through the Wide Bay Engineering and Manufacturing Industry Skills Formation Strategy AIEMnet will enhance industry capability through industry-led workforce strategies for future growth within the engineering and manufacturing sectors in the Wide Bay region. This strategy will look at the issues of attracting and keeping the right people, matching jobs to new innovations, looking at new skills and developing those skills for the current and future workforces of our industries. The Industry leaders throughout the Wide Bay will also look at the capacity of our education and training system and look at ways at forming greater partnerships with these organisations.
